Dr. Park: Aequor’s Distinguished Locum Tenens Physician Making a Difference

At Aequor, we take pride in connecting exceptional healthcare providers with communities in need. Among our distinguished locum tenens physicians, Dr. Park stands out as a dedicated and skilled emergency medicine provider who has been making an impact for nearly a decade.
From Family Medicine to Emergency Medicine
Dr. Park’s journey into emergency medicine started with a solid foundation in family medicine. His training provided him with a broad base of medical knowledge, allowing him to treat patients of all ages—from newborns to geriatrics. His experience in family practice helped him develop a strong bedside manner, an invaluable skill that he carries into emergency medicine today.
While family medicine gave him a well rounded perspective, Dr. Park realized that the fast-paced environment of the emergency room was a better fit for him. “Emergency medicine is more my pace,” he says. His ability to adapt and thrive in high-pressure situations makes him a vital asset to every hospital he serves.
A Passion for Locum Tenens Work
Dr. Park has been a locum tenens provider for 7–8 years, drawn to the flexibility and variety that locums offers. He enjoys traveling to different communities and stepping in where he is needed most. “I like going someplace where I’m needed to help out the community,” he shares. His work allows him to engage with diverse patient populations and collaborate with different healthcare teams, keeping his career fresh and fulfilling.
One of his favorite assignments so far has been in Piedmont, where the pace of work allows him to spend more time with patients. He values the opportunity to educate his patients and provide continuity of care, ensuring they receive the attention and guidance they need. While he has primarily worked in the Midwest and Southeast, he remains open to new opportunities, including the possibility of traveling to the West Coast for future assignments.
The Power of a Strong Support System
Behind every dedicated locum tenens physician is a support system that enables them to succeed. Dr. Park credits much of his success to his wife, who has been incredibly supportive of his career and allows him the flexibility to travel. At the same time, he values the downtime he gets to spend at home, making quality time with his family a priority. When he’s not working, he enjoys golfing, going to church, and catching up with loved ones.
Brennan describes Dr. Park as one of the most organized and easy-to-work-with physicians he has encountered. From Aequor’s internal team to the facilities he works with, everyone speaks highly of him, a testament to his professionalism and dedication.
Advice for Physicians Considering Locums
For physicians thinking about making the leap into locum tenens work, Dr. Park has some valuable advice: “Have patience, build relationships, work hard, and don’t rush into anything just because you think you need to. Understand what’s out there and find a great recruiter who can help you navigate the market.”
Over the years, Dr. Park has learned the importance of adaptability. Each new facility and team comes with its own set of challenges, but as he puts it, “Roll with what comes, work well with the staff and administration, and each new place will get easier and easier.”
Looking Ahead
Dr. Park has no plans of slowing down. He sees himself continuing locum tenens work for the next 5–7 years and remains committed to his partnership with Aequor. His dedication to providing top-quality care, his passion for helping communities in need, and his strong professional relationships make him an invaluable part of the Aequor team.
We are proud to work with distinguished physicians like Dr. Park, who embody the spirit of locum tenens and make a lasting impact wherever they go. Thank you, Dr. Park, for your hard work and commitment to patient care!
